Olive oil is one of the oldest skin care oils in the world. It moisturizes, replenishes lipids, and supports skin regeneration. The vitamins and antioxidants contained in the oil protect cells and leave skin feeling supple.
Laurus Nobilis Fruit Oil (Laurel Oil)
The valuable oil of the bay tree has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and promotes blood circulation. It soothes irritated skin and supports natural regeneration – even in ancient times, bay was considered a symbol of purity and healing.
Potassium chloride (potassium salt) – a naturally occurring mineral salt that stabilizes the soap structure and also binds moisture.
Aqua (water) - liquid

SOFONA shower soap foam gently cleanses without drying out the skin. Thanks to the gentle cold process, natural, plant-based glycerin, vitamins, and active ingredients are fully preserved. SOFONA stands for pure, unadulterated natural care in its purest form. The products are manufactured with the utmost care to protect both skin and the environment, in accordance with the rethema philosophy for sustainable, ethical, and skin-friendly care products.
Care tip:
Suitable for all skin types. Apply a small amount to damp skin, spread gently, and rinse thoroughly. The mild formula cleanses gently and nourishes at the same time, making it ideal for daily showering. The shower soap is fragrance-free and can be enhanced with essential oils if desired. Avoid contact with eyes if possible.

Production of SOFONA shower soap – the gentle cold process
SOFONA shower soap is made exclusively from high-quality, plant-based oils – primarily olive oil and pure laurel oil. These oils are saponified using a traditional, gentle cold process . In this process, the oil reacts with a mild potassium-based lye (potassium salt), initiating the saponification process.
This natural saponification process produces plant-based soap and plant-based glycerin – the latter being a valuable moisturizer that remains in the soap. Unlike industrial processes, SOFONA uses no heat and does not remove any glycerin. This ensures that vitamins, fatty acids, and the plant's own active ingredients are fully preserved.
The finished foaming soap is gentle, pH-neutral, and free of chemical residues . After saponification, the soap is left to rest for several weeks. During this time, it can fully mature, developing its particularly mild, nourishing, and skin-friendly consistency . This results in a liquid/foaming natural soap that cleanses without irritating the skin – handmade, all-natural, and sustainably produced.
