Colloids consist of tiny particles – often only a few nanometers in size – that are evenly distributed in a fluid state without settling. This special structure ensures particularly good absorption and versatile applications, both internally and externally.
Why ppm isn't everything:
The unit "ppm" (parts per million) indicates the concentration of a substance – for example, 25 ppm for colloidal silver. However, it's not just the quantity that matters: particle size and distribution are crucial. Many small particles offer a larger total surface area than a few large ones – and therefore high efficacy. For some colloids, such as silicon, ppm measurement is technically impossible because the element is not electrically conductive. In these cases, special manufacturing processes and optical purity are used.
